Heather is a girl too young for me. My friends say I’m out of touch, that the gray in my hair ain’t going nowhere and in the back there isn’t much. Still, I try to get her attention with a joke and a laugh. I order a drink to ease the tension, Diet Coke in my glass. I try to win her over and invite her to my place, I’m lucky as a three leaf clover, Heather laughs in my face. she takes my hand, I’m as nervous as can be, and she tells me we’re better off as friends.
